Gran is Megan's grandmother from the Holly Webb book Ellie the Homesick Puppy. She volunteers to look after Ellie, Megan's honey-golden Labrador puppy, while Megan and her family get ready to move house. But when Ellie runs away from Gran's house homesick to get back to Megan, Gran finds her gone and tells Megan and her parents, leaving Megan devastated.
